jackie complete 50 days, Puneer-soori team up again

Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar’s Jackie has successfully completed 50 days in more than 60 theatres across the state making it one of the superhits of 2010. Directed by Soori, the movie is expected to garner more than Rs 25 crore in revenue in the next few weeks.
It is the third film to be declared a superhit of 2010 after Vishnuvardhana’s last film Aaptka Rakshaka and Krishnan Love Story.
Jackie has been a clear winner when compared to Puneet’s last film Prithvi. Several programs were organized to mark the successful running of Jackie in theatres. Puneet met his fans and danced with them. Students hailing from poor families were given away special gifts. Puneet was also felicitated by his fans. He received a rousing welcome wherever he went.
The star cast and technical crew of Jackie were present during the day-long celebrations at several theatres in Bangalore.
The successful combination of director Soori and Puneet has prompted the duo to team up again for another film. It is tentatively titled Anna Bond. Soori has already started working on the story. The movie will be produced by Puneet’s home banner Vajreshwari Combines.
The movie is expected to take off only after six months as Puneet is busy shooting for his home production Hudugru, remake of the Tamil hit Naadodigal. Post Hudugru, Puneet will work in Yogaraj Bhat’s movie to be produced by film distributor Jayanna.
Besides, Soori is set to take a long break as he is entering into wedlock with his collegemate. Also, there are speculations that Soori might first direct a movie for Darshan under Ramu Enterprises before directing his second film for Puneet.
