Ghost Rider 2 Will Provide New Origin Sequence

Everyone knows that Ghost Rider was at the very least a flashy trainwreck,     
and that includes the sequel’s directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.
But being two of the most innovative directors in the business, they’ve found
a way to fix the mess by simply creating an entire new origin story for the flaming
 headed vigilante.




Ghost Rider himself Nicolas Cage spoke with UKPA (via ComingSoon) during a press junket for his next box office smash Season of the Witch and had a few interesting things to say about the upcoming GR: Spirit of Vengeance. After mentioning the new origin sequence, he goes on to point out the “wild” ways in which the directors shoot their movies.

Season of the Witch is out today, and if you want a taste of what this new Nicolas Cage film has to offer, we have good news! Here's a clip from the film to demonstrate what it's all about, starring Cage's Behman of Blighbrook, Ron Perlman as his BFF Felson and Claire Foy as suspected witch The Girl (they didn't spend a lot of time on names in medieval times).
The story sese Behman and Felson desert from the Crusading army after becoming sickened by the slaughter of innocents, and return to a Black Death-plagued Europe. There, they are imprisoned for going AWOL (at which point this scene takes place) and then tasked with transporting The Girl to a monastery to stand trial for witchcraft.
